The Impact of OKC Exercises and TRX Exercises on Shoulder Joint Proprioception in Overhead Athletes With Shoulder Impingement Syndrome: A Randomized Controlled Trial

چکیده
Purpose: Sub-acromial impingement syndrome (SAIS) is one of the most common causes shoulder pain and affects joint proprioception. The closed kinetic chain (CKC) exercises with sling are more effective safer than open (OKC) exercises. This study aimed to compare effectiveness OKC total-body resistance (TRX) training on position sense (JPS) in overhead athletes (SIS). Methods: article was a randomized control trial (RCT) conducted Kerman City, Iran, 2019. research sample included 33 SIS who were randomly classified into three groups: OKC, sling, groups. Joint evaluated external rotation (ER), internal (IR), abduction dominant arm target angle concerning range motion Leighton flexometer. obtained data analyzed using analysis covariance (ANCOVA). Results: post-intervention results showed that significant difference observed between groups (ER, P<0.001; IR, P<0.001). change group significantly higher ER, except JPS (P=0.001, P=0.001, P=0.235, respectively) (P<0.001, P<0.001, respectively). Change P=0.019, group. exercise improved SIS. Conclusion: for because these CKC performed an unstable level.

Background and Objectives: Shoulder impingement syndrome is one of the important causes of shoulder pain, which affects the shoulder joint proprioception. Closed kinetic chain exercises are more useful and safer than opened kinetic chain exercises. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of total body resistance exercise (TRX) on the shoulder joint proprioception of athletes with ...
متن کاملThe effect of postural restoration exercises on function and isokinetic torque of shoulder external and internal rotator muscles in non-professional athletes with shoulder internal impingement syndrome
Introduction: Internal Shoulder impingement is one of the most common problems in athletes with postural asymmetry. The present study aimed to investigate the effect of postural restoration exercises on patients' disabilities and the torque of the shoulder rotator muscles. Materials and Methods: In this clinical trial study, 23 patients with internal shoulder entrapment were randomly divided in...

Background :Dysfunction in the kinetic chain caused by poor scapula stabilization can contribute to shoulder injuries and Shoulder Impingement Syndrome (SIS). The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of two treatment approaches scapular stabilization based exercise therapy and physical therapy in patients with SIS. Methods : The study is a randomized clinical trial in whic...
متن کاملSymptomatic internal impingement of the shoulder in overhead athletes.
The term "internal impingement" describes the normal physiological contact that occurs between the posterosuperior glenoid and the greater tuberosity in positions of hyperabduction and external rotation. This physiological contact can become symptomatic when repeated overhead motion results in partial articular-sided posterosuperior rotator cuff tears and lesions of the posterosuperior glenoid ...
